Community Arts & Education Program

The Community Arts and Education program celebrates the importance of arts and culture in our daily lives by supporting cultural arts activities and arts education in San Francisco's diverse communities.

Grants

Programs in the Community and Neighborhood Festival Grants provide grants to social service and neighborhood groups for community arts events. more»

Announcements

Read the arts education response to the San Francisco Unified School District Strategic Plan.

SomArts is hiring a Building Supervisor and Technical Director.

Our Arts Education Program has developed  Where Art Lives, curriculum to educate 4th to 6th graders about graffiti vandalism. Through a partnership with the Department of Public Works and the San Francisco Unified School District, this curriculum will be implemented in four public school sites in San Francisco.

WritersCorps' latest student anthology, Tell the World, is reviewed in the New York Times.
