Civic design review

The Civic Design Review Committee is made up of architects and designers who conduct a three-phase review of new and renovated civic construction projects to ensure design quality of City structures.

updated Guidelines and Forms

February 12, 2013: The Civic Design Guidelines have been updated to include more information on the review process and clarify the requirements for plaque review and other small projects.

Conceptual presentations are now required for projects with budgets over $5 million, but are for information purposes only. There is no formal approval required or fee for this review.

FY13/14 index codes

In accordance with Administrative Code Section 3.19A, fees are payable prior to a project being scheduled for review. Each time a project is reviewed at a public meeting of the Civic Design Review Committee, the fee is $2,316. Projects with an outstanding balance will not be scheduled to recieve final Phase 3 approval.
