Get Involved
WritersCorps is committed to providing opportunities for young people to use language as a positive tool for making meaning in their lives. Here are ways you can help us reach more young people:
Teach
Since 1994, over 100 teaching artists have served in WritersCorps. Our long-term, in-depth model gives teaching artists what they need to inspire youth to improve their writing skills and grow as individuals. Our teachers are chosen through a competitive application process, paid an hourly rate and given allowances for supplies. Applications for the 08-09 school year are due May 30, 2008 and will be available in early spring 2008. Click here for more information.
Read our Books
WritersCorps publishes anthologies of student work as well as guides with lesson plans developed by our teachers. Our books will be available for purchase on this site soon. In the meantime, you can also order some of our books from Small Press Distribution. If you need a book right away, please contact us.
Donate
