Sites

WritersCorps places accomplished writers in agencies serving youth, such as schools, juvenile detention facilities, social service agencies and after-school programs. We serve youth, ages 6 to 21, with a particular emphasis on immigrant, incarcerated, homeless, educationally-disadvantaged and low-income youth.

Since 1994, WritersCorps has worked in more than 52 community-based organizations in San Francisco. Each year WritersCorps provides services in 7 to 15 sites. Sites must support the literary arts programming and participate in events, publications and evaluation.

To learn more information about receiving a WritersCorps teacher, please contact Melissa Hung at 415-252-4655 or email writerscorps (at) gmail (dot) com.
