Lorraine García-Nakata

Lorraine García-Nakata brings over thirty years’ experience and is recognized nationally for her leadership in non-profit and museum practice, culture policy, philanthropy, publication development, community development, and education/public program design and implementation serving broad community needs. Specializing in organizational transitions, Lorraine is also noted for assisting organizations in deepening and expanding their impact. A recognized visual artist, Lorraine has exhibited extensively on a local and international level and since 1974, has been a primary member of the world-renowned artist collective—the Royal Chicano Air Force (RCAF). In 2003, Lorraine was recognized for artistic achievement and awarded a California State Arts Council Visual Arts Fellowship and is currently authoring a book on experiences as a third generation descendant whose grandparents came to the United States in 1914 during the Mexican Revolution. Lorraine has lived and worked in San Francisco since 1985.
