What’s happening at the museums and galleries in San Francisco? How about the Symphony, Opera, theaters and dance companies?
The Arts Commission does not maintain a calendar of scheduled events at the museums, galleries, and performance spaces in San Francisco. For an extensive listing of San Francisco arts organizations, with web links to most organizations, please go to the San Francisco Arts Online website, the City’s Today in SF page, or pick up a copy of the Arts Monthly or one of the free weekly papers.
Can you tell me more about an artist whose work I own?
The Arts Commission only has information available about artists who have artworks in our Civic Art Collection.
I would like to make a gift of an artwork to the City and County of San Francisco’s Civic Art Collection. What is the process?
We currently have a moratorium on gifts to the Civic Art Collection. Only in extraordinary circumstances will we consider accepting a gift. If you wish to pursue this, please contact the Archivist at the Civic Art Collection, Sarah Lenoue, at 415/252-2593. For more information about the Civic Art Collection, please go to the Civic Art Collection section of the website.
