SAN FRANCISCO ARTS COMMISSION GALLERY ANNOUNCES
PASSPORT 2010
Public Event Celebrates Bay Area Artists
and San Francisco’s Vibrant Neighborhoods
San Francisco, CA –On October 9 and 10, 2010, the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery (SFAC Gallery) presents Passport 2010, an affordable do-it-yourself art collecting experience.
Participants buy a $25 customized Moleskine® journal and stroll Hayes Valley while collecting artist-designed passport stamps from 16 local artists! At the end of the day passport holders have met an amazing group of artists, and have a limited edition art book to take home!

Passport 2010 Kick-Off Party

The Rickshaw Stop
$5 suggested donation at the door; free for 2010 Passport holders
At the Passport 2010 Kick-Off Party, guests can pick up pre-purchased passport books or purchase passports at the door, enjoy food, drinks and music, and enter to win raffle prizes from a range of exciting community partners. Passport 2009 artist, Sean McFarland will be running a photo booth, Passport 2010 artist Suzanne Husky will be hosting a video kissing booth for any and all willing participants. Music by DJ Nuxx, who was just voted best DJ by the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
Passport 2010 Stamping Day
Sunday, October 10
noon–4 p.m. (will call opens at 11am)
Passport 2010 home base: Patricia’s Green, Hayes Street @ Octavia
Stamps available at various locations in the Hayes Valley, San Francisco
Visit favorite spots in Hayes Valley or discover new ones while collecting original stamps created by Bay Area artists for Passport 2010. Stop by Passport 2010 Home Base at Patricia’s Green to purchase a passport, pick up a map of locations, learn more about the SFAC Gallery, or relax and enjoy $1 hot dogs in the park with the whole family.

To purchase a $25 passport:
Online at eventbrite.com or at one of the following venues: SFAC Gallery, Electric Works, Rare Device, Baer Ridgeway Gallery and Park Life.
Purchase during the event at the Kick-Off Party and at Passport Home Base.
NEW – This year the Gallery will offer a Concierge Passport option. For $125 Gallery staff will collect all the stamps for you and mail the Passport to your home. Only 25 Concierge Passports will be available, so early purchase is suggested.
