Artist Talk with Annette Jannotta and Olivia Ting

Join the San Francisco Arts Commission Galleries for a conversation with our inaugural ENTER: 126 artists, Annette Jannotta and Olivia Ting. Jannotta and Ting will speak about their process in creating their installation, CoalescenceCoalescence explores spatial memory and the reassembly of experiential fragments through repurposed construction material and projections of recomposed imagery filmed and collected throughout the War Memorial Veterans Building.

They will be observing the building's surroundings, history and changes over time and updating the video projection over the course of the exhibition to bring together the many facets of the building's place in San Francisco.

Jannotta and Ting will also speak about their individual practices and what it's like to collaborate on a multi-disciplinary project.

 

This event is part of a series of public programs connected to our inaugural exhibition series: Bring It Home: (Re)Locating Cultural Legacy Through the Body (January 22 - May 7, 2016), Susan O'Malley: Do More of What You Love (January 22 - May 7, 2016), and ENTER: 126 - Coalescence (January 22 - December 17, 2016).
