The National Guild annually presents the Conference for Community Arts Education to provide essential networking and professional development opportunities for staff, faculty, teaching artists and trustees in the community arts education field.

The conference will feature professional development workshops, roundtables and program showcases organized into progressive tracks in Programming, Evaluation and Research, Partnership, Leadership and Governance, and Development and Marketing. Sessions are led by expert practitioners, master trainers, and researchers in the field who tailor their presentations to meet the specific needs of community arts education providers.

To propose a session, complete the Session Proposal Form and return it by April 16, 2010. Your proposal will be reviewed by program staff for overall quality, as a component of a particular track, and in relation to the following criteria:
The application is complete, the presenter(s) are identified, and the topic is well-conceived
The session addresses an important issue or trend in the field of community arts education
An innovative format engages the audience and strengthens the presentation of the session
The presenter(s) represent a diversity of viewpoints, cultural backgrounds, artistic media, disciplines, and genres, professional expertise, geographic locations, community sizes, etc.
