The San Francisco Children's Art Center, located at Fort Mason Center, is a non-profit organization that has provided art education to Bay Area children for over 30 years. Our mission is to empower children and foster their sense of self through exploration of the artistic process. The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for helping to teach art classes and supporting the Lead Teacher on a part-time seasonal basis.

SCHEDULE/HOURS
We offer a flexible schedule. Classes and workshops are held Monday-Sunday from 9:00-5:30pm. Work schedules may vary for each session.

WAGES $12.00/hr

Duties: 
-Work as a team with the Lead teachers.
-Work with children ages 2-10.
-Maintain art supplies
-Assist with classroom preparation and cleanup
Requirements: 
-Experience developing classroom projects/programs
-Experience working in education, art, early childhood education, or other related discipline preferably with children ages 2-10.
-Hands-on experience working with children and art making.
-Excellent interpersonal skills with children and parents.
-Weekend availability strongly preferred. 
-CPR/first aid training desirable.
