Meeting Description & Agenda

The San Francisco Arts Commission is working with Sunset residents to select an artist to create an artwork for the new Ortega Branch Library. During this final meeting, the Community Artist Selection Panel will interview each of the three finalists – Sheila Ghidini, Gerald Heffernon, and Wowhaus – and select one of the finalists to create a work for the new branch. Written comments from the public viewing of the three proposals will be shared with the panel before the meeting. Below is the meeting agenda.

1:00 PM - Preliminary comments by Mary Chou

1:15 PM - Gerald Heffernon interview

2:00 PM - Wowhaus interview

2:45 PM - Sheila Ghidini interview

3:30 PM - Public comment (3 minutes each)

3:45 PM - Panel discussion of three semifinalist artists and their proposals, followed by selection of one artist to recommend to the Arts Commission

5:00 PM - Adjournment
