May 8, 2009 – Public Viewing and Artist Talk Moscone Recreation Center
The San Francisco Arts Commission and the Recreation and Park Department invite the community to view images of a new sculpture by artist Kent Roberts that has been commissioned for the Moscone Recreation Center. Display boards will be on view Friday, May 8 – Monday, June 1, 2009
MEET THE ARTIST – Thursday, May 28 from 4:30- 6 PM
A prominent Bay Area sculptor who was recently featured in 7×7 Magazine, Kent Roberts has worked as an Exhibition Designer at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art for many years. The artist works with a variety of materials including steel, bronze, stone, wood, and concrete and often references boat and bridge imagery in his sculptures. Learn more about Mr. Roberts’ design process and concept for the new Moscone Recreation Center sculpture at this public meeting.
