Public Art for the New Leland Avenue
Come see the proposals for the new public artwork and give us your feedback!
On view Friday, September 11 – Monday, September 21 at the
Visitacion Valley Branch Library, 45 Leland Avenue
Hours: Monday-Tuesday, 10 a.m.- 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, 12 – 7:00 p.m.,
Thursday, 1 – 7:00 p.m., Friday-Saturday, 1 – 6:00 p.m.
Two artists and one artist team— Michael Arcega, Julio Cesar Morales, and team Rebar, led by Matthew Passmore —were selected by the Leland Avenue Streetscape Artist Selection Panel to create proposals for a new public art project, which will be on Leland Avenue as part of the Department of Public Works (DPW) streetscape improvements project. Come see the proposals, which will be on view in the Visitacion Valley Branch Library windows, and provide us with feedback in the comment book located at the library. Your opinions will be shared with the Selection Panel before one proposal is selected.
