December 10, 2009 – Informational Meeting for Central Subway Temporary Art Program

SFAC_Centr_Sub_bg_vertThe San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) is currently seeking proposals from established nonprofit organizations with existing arts or cultural programs in the Chinatown District of San Francisco to develop a community-based outdoor art project inspired by the history and culture of Chinatown, as part of the Public Art Program for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s Central Subway Project. One organization will be awarded a contract of up to $80,000 to implement a project to begin in February, 2010 and continue through December, 2011.

WHERE: Chinatown Branch Library, located at 1135 Powell Street near Jackson Street. Meeting will take place in the downstairs Community Room.
