Announcing the installation of a new public art project, Sun Spheres, three mosaic sculptures by artist Laurel True, at the intersection of Ocean and Granada Avenues in the OMI District of San Francisco.
Three local artists, about 200 homeless youth, and Mission District community people have composed a mosaic and painted-tile art work, installed into the Municipal Railway’s new sidewalk extension for the bus stop in front of 150 Otis Street between McCoppin and Duboce streets.
Approximately 20 Western Addition children painted the tiles for local artist Ruth O’Day’s just-finished mosaic art work along the seating wall in front of the newly renovated clubhouse at the Margaret Hayward Playground, 1016 Laguna St. in San Francisco.
