About Muni Raised me and meymey lee

Muni Raised Me is a growing community of San Francisco born and raised artists who grew up tracing home among the hills, fog, and bus routes of the city. Collective member Meymey Lee (they/them) is an artist and educator who has worked in traditional and non-traditional classrooms, with elders, toddlers, and every age in between.  They have worked at SFUSD’s Environmental Science Center, the Exploratorium, Oakland Fairyland, and has toured the Bay Area and internationally as a professional storyteller. Lee has organized direct actions, large scale art installations, and community events including haunted houses, walkathons, punk shows, turkey giveaways, and hot pot fundraisers. They have learned that the best growing happens when people are in a respectful and caring relationship with themselves, one another, and the environment.
