The SFAC Galleries is excited to host The Painting Salon, a monthly lecture series aimed at fostering dialog about contemporary painting in the Bay Area. This month, SFAC exhibiting artists Alison Pebworth and Hannah Ireland are invited to talk about their collaborative project at City Hall, The Unofficial Department of Handshakes [2], as well as discuss their individual work. About the Painting Salon

The Painting Salon is a monthly lecture series aimed at fostering a dialogue about contemporary painting in the Bay Area.  Each month, we invite two artists to present their work at a new art space, gallery, or artist studio. With the nomadic venue and expanding roster of presenters, the Salon hopes to foster community by introducing new audiences to artists and artists to each other. Guests are invited to contribute to the event through potluck offerings of drinks and snacks.
