Alexa Burrell a.k.a LEXAGON and adrian clutario

Friday, March 13, 2026 | 7:00 p.m (Doors at 6:30 p.m.)
Free and open to the public

Join us for a captivating evening of live performance with artist adrian clutario and musician (LEXAGON) Alexa Burrell!

clutario debuts a new character drawn from Philippine folklore, drag, and speculative storytelling, an exploration of identity shaped through costume, vanity, and myth. Burrell activates a hand-built sculptural instrument from her installation, in the tableau of a “dark garden,” which inverts the colonial fantasy of the garden as a space of cultivated control. Together, the artists explore the construction of character and score as they invite us into a lush and unruly sensorial world.

About the artists

adrian clutario (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in Oakland, CA since 2014. Their practice involves a variety of techniques — sculpture, installation, furniture, performance, and fashion. Clutario’s queer Filipinx-American identity informs their work, imagining and creating different possibilities of our heteronormative and colonized surroundings. Deeply utilizing drag and craft sensibilities, Clutario exaggerates and blurs the lines of design, space, and familial lineage - striving to heal around diasporic generational trauma. Adrian Clutario’s work has been exhibited nationally, and has received their BFA from Otis College of Art and Design in 2012. adrianclutario.com

Alexa Burrell is a multidisciplinary artist and composer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her work spans across video, sound, sculpture, photography, animation, and performance, and is informed by an Afro-futurist and hauntological aesthetic. As a solo music project under the name LEXAGON, she blends field recordings, handmade instruments, clarinet, and vocals to create immersive, experimental soundscapes. Her music delves into themes of ancestral trauma, memory, and intergenerational healing. From 2016 to 2022, Burrell was a core collaborator with House/Full of Blackwomen, a ritual performance collective led by amara tabor-smith and Ellen Sebastian-Chang. Her work has been presented at institutions including Audium Theater of Sound, Stanford University, BAMPFA, Kala Art Institute, and Gray Area. Burrelll is currently pursuing her MFA in Art Practice at Stanford University. alexachristineburrell.com
