Program Description

The Arts Education Program at ShadowLight Productions focuses on creating a collaborative effort involving students in the production process of Shadow Theatre, including script writing, puppetry, mask movement, dance, music, lighting, and visual design. The program offers one-day, one-week, or multi-week student workshops as well as professional development workshops with hands-on training in shadow theatre techniques for school teachers, theater groups, and artists.

Program Description

Shakespeare On Tour performs at schools, libraries, and community centers all over California. The troupe arrives with set, costumes, and props to stage a show at your location! At the end of the show (just under an hour long), performers take questions from the audience. In advance of the performance, 15 one-hour lesson plans (indexed to state standards) are sent to educators. Optional PLAYSHOP may be added for a one-hour, hands-on experience that will deepen student appreciation of the show.

Program Description

StageWrite uses theatre to build literacy skills, community, and self-esteem with elementary school children. Through classroom residencies, StageWrite engages and inspires student learning. The program employs dramatic activities to involve young people in reading, writing, speaking, and listening as a holistic, meaningful communication process.
