The Arts Education Program at ShadowLight Productions focuses on creating a collaborative effort involving students in the production process of Shadow Theatre, including script writing, puppetry, mask movement, dance, music, lighting, and visual design. The program offers one-day, one-week, or multi-week student workshops as well as professional development workshops with hands-on training in shadow theatre techniques for school teachers, theater groups, and artists.

Shakespeare On Tour performs at schools, libraries, and community centers all over California. The troupe arrives with set, costumes, and props to stage a show at your location! At the end of the show (just under an hour long), performers take questions from the audience. In advance of the performance, 15 one-hour lesson plans (indexed to state standards) are sent to educators. Optional PLAYSHOP may be added for a one-hour, hands-on experience that will deepen student appreciation of the show.

At 1AM Gallery, we exhibit and educate people on the history and craft of street and urban art. We teach drawing, spray painting, mural, and stencil classes. We also offer private group classes.

826 Valencia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students ages six to eighteen with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. Our services are structured around the understanding that great leaps in learning can happen when trained tutors work one-on-one with students and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success.

Our semi-professional training and performance troupe features a blended style of traditional circus arts (acrobatics, aerial acts, contortion) with newer, city-born forms (breakdancing, parkour, Hip Hop theater), as well as art forms from other cultures. City Circus offers the only long-run circus performance in San Francisco with an annual run of 3-5 weeks. Performances are built around an evocative narrative combining issues of urban social concern with myth, fantasy, humor, and magic.

AAACC is a community-based, 501(c)3 arts and cultural organization. Our mission is to empower our community through Afrocentric artistic and cultural expression, mediums, education, and programming.

The SHAKE-IT-UP program teaches literacy skills to students using theater games and drama techniques. This program addresses the educational needs of students in fun and creative ways, helping students develop a positive relationship with complex reading materials. Partner schools receives first choice dates and seating at performance events.

Alphabet Rockers makes music that makes change. Alphabet Rockers' programs make learning come alive through the beats, rhymes and movement of hip-hop. Through high quality contemporary performances, workshops, and residencies for young audiences, Alphabet Rockers engages children in critical thinking and the arts while empowering them to transform their lives, their families and their communities. Professional development trainings provide educators a model for using hip hop as a learning tool for K-5 classrooms.

Art in Action provides a comprehensive and engaging arts education program that makes it easy for teachers or parents to help students develop critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity skills. Each program level contains 12 lessons that incorporate art history, vocabulary and hands-on techniques.
