Golden Thread’s Fairytale Players is an ensemble touring company with a repertoire of educational theater performances based on stories from the Middle East. Inspired by popular performance traditions in the Middle East, Golden Thread’s Fairytale Players employ epic storytelling, physical theatre and circus arts techniques in creating performances. In spring 2014, Golden Thread Fairytale Players will present "21 Days that Change the Year," a celebration of Nowruz, the Persian new year.

Green Art Workshop is a hands-on, eco-conscious program that brings teaching artists into classrooms and community centers. Workshops are 1.5 hour minimum duration and can be designed for drop-in participation or the program also offers multi-class residency workshops. Green Art Workshop provides the teachers and materials and tailor programs to meet each group's goals.

Handful Players is a free children's musical theater program based in San Francisco's Western Addition. Professional teaching artists conduct workshops on acting, singing, dancing, storytelling, costume and set design. Handful Players commissions local playwrights to create original plays for community performances where the children are accompanied by professional musicians. We help youth develop critical life skills, improve their self-esteem, and find their creative voices via performance.

The Imagine Bus Project harnesses the power of creativity to transform the lives of justice-involved youth through arts education, individualized case management, employment, and a deep belief in their ability to succeed.

India's Music Room offers private lessons and ensemble coaching in violin (all levels), viola, and piano (beginners to intermediate). Students of all ages are welcome! India's method for violin, viola, and piano beginners includes basic foundation studies. Through applied exercises and performance, students learn technique and repertoire in fun and action-oriented sessions. The studio offers weekly lessons, recitals, and workshops throughout the year.

Passport to World Arts™, Induz’s signature program, was launched in 2008 to provide global arts education for low-income students in the San Francisco Bay Area. This art program takes children through a virtual journey around the world, across various countries with a passport in hand. Travel to many destinations while celebrating each region's art and culture thus promoting global learning, acceptance and appreciation of diverse cultures, and nurturing their creativity.

We are a private school in the heart of the Arts Corridor in the Civic Center area of San Francisco. We have a thriving arts curriculum that focuses on internationalism.

Today's youth are the first to experience the practice of virtual self-representation through social media as an aspect of their social development. Their creation and maintenance of an online identity is a lifelong project. This multimedia workshop investigates the perameters that social media sets on self-representation by taking this daily practice out of the virtual realm. Participants create multimedia installations that share their evolving self-narratives in real space and time.

KQED Art School is a free video series made for students where local Bay Area artists are interviewed about their careers and intentions before demonstrating a hands-on technique or concept that students can follow along with. Such demonstrations include: how to make a stencil, how to draw comics, how to break dance, and more. The videos can be downloaded free from iTunes by searching KQED Art School, on Youtube, or at KQED.org.

La Peña is a community cultural center that promotes peace, social justice, and cultural understanding through the arts, education, and social action. Our current arts education program consists of low-cost classes in Latin American music, dance, and other art forms taught by some of the best local artists and instructors.
