Program Description

Little Opera is a comprehensive nine-month after-school program that challenges the assumption that opera is not for everyone. We bring together 2nd-7th grade students of all backgrounds to create, rehearse, and perform an original opera. Our students do everything, from start to finish. Program Description

Loco Bloco's after-school, school day and community classes for youth ages 3-24 offer multicultural performing arts training in dance, percussion, stilt walking, and theater arts rooted in Afro-Latino traditions. Arts instruction includes technique, history, skill building and performance. Their curriculum uses performance arts to supporting youth to overcome injustice; adopt healthy, active, lifestyles, serve as leaders in their communities, and embrace ethnic and cultural diversity.

New Performance Group and Studio NPG are dedicated to deepening intercultural communication and exchange through the performing arts and arts education. Program Description

Magical Moonshine Theatre is a award winning, international touring puppet theatre, founded in 1979, with performances live in eight languages in eighteen countries throughout Europe, Asia and Latin America. Michael studied puppetry with Jim Henson at the International Institute of Puppetry in France, and both Valerie and Michael are Artists in Residence, integrating core subjects with performing/visual arts at Salvador Arts Magnet Elementary School using Leonard Bernstein's Artful Learning framework.

Visual Arts Committee Meeting

Civic Design Review Committee meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 3:00 PM, and generally last for about two hours. If the scheduled date falls on a holiday, the meeting will usually be rescheduled to the following or preceding week.
