Program Description

Our semi-professional training and performance troupe features a blended style of traditional circus arts (acrobatics, aerial acts, contortion) with newer, city-born forms (breakdancing, parkour, Hip Hop theater), as well as art forms from other cultures. City Circus offers the only long-run circus performance in San Francisco with an annual run of 3-5 weeks. Performances are built around an evocative narrative combining issues of urban social concern with myth, fantasy, humor, and magic.
