Our semi-professional training and performance troupe features a blended style of traditional circus arts (acrobatics, aerial acts, contortion) with newer, city-born forms (breakdancing, parkour, Hip Hop theater), as well as art forms from other cultures. City Circus offers the only long-run circus performance in San Francisco with an annual run of 3-5 weeks. Performances are built around an evocative narrative combining issues of urban social concern with myth, fantasy, humor, and magic.

AAACC is a community-based, 501(c)3 arts and cultural organization. Our mission is to empower our community through Afrocentric artistic and cultural expression, mediums, education, and programming.

The SHAKE-IT-UP program teaches literacy skills to students using theater games and drama techniques. This program addresses the educational needs of students in fun and creative ways, helping students develop a positive relationship with complex reading materials. Partner schools receives first choice dates and seating at performance events.

Alphabet Rockers makes music that makes change. Alphabet Rockers' programs make learning come alive through the beats, rhymes and movement of hip-hop. Through high quality contemporary performances, workshops, and residencies for young audiences, Alphabet Rockers engages children in critical thinking and the arts while empowering them to transform their lives, their families and their communities. Professional development trainings provide educators a model for using hip hop as a learning tool for K-5 classrooms.

A.C.T. provides young people and educators opportunities to experience the transformative potential of dramatic storytelling—developing creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative spirit while fostering the artists and audiences of the future. With a dedication to lifelong learning, A.C.T. enriches the lives of our diverse community members by providing access to the creative process, deepening their understanding of the power of “play” to underscore our common humanity.

Art in Action provides a comprehensive and engaging arts education program that makes it easy for teachers or parents to help students develop critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity skills. Each program level contains 12 lessons that incorporate art history, vocabulary and hands-on techniques.

Arts Ed Matters advocates for a strong presence of the arts in public education. We believe that early and sustainable exposure to the visual and performing arts fosters a more complete process of learning, builds healthy and vibrant communities, and prepares students to enter an ever-changing global landscape. In addition to providing high-quality professional learning opportunities, we foster community dialogue and engage families in the vital role of the arts in education.

ArtSeed's mission is to connect the most resourceful and gifted with the youngest and most vulnerable citizens of the Bay Area and beyond through projects that explore links between classical and cutting-edge fine arts disciplines.

ArtSpan, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, builds community by connecting the public to visual arts in San Francisco. Every child deserves access to arts education. ArtSpan's Art for City Youth program aims to fill the gaps left by budget cuts by placing professional artists in San Francisco classrooms. Art for City Youth's teaching artists employ visual thinking strategies during in-class sessions and exhibition tours to expand their students' vocabulary and inspire creativity.

ArtWorks offers an exceptional experience in fine art instruction for children, teens, and adults of all skill levels in their year-round Foundations Program. Each summer, they also offer exciting summer workshops and art camps. Individualized instruction and a small teacher-student ratio provide a wonderful learning atmosphere and guarantee fun and success!
